Mask-making is indeed a tough process to implement. Cost factor, time factor, infrastructure facture, error factor etc. are very important in mask-making. Once a design has been turned into silicon substrate, then if it is not working, then it is useless. We cannot work further on a designed substrate. Nowadays ‘Design rule checking’ software is there in market. A variety of DRC software programs with different unique type algorithms exist.
