In design, we seek help from computer-aided design (CAD) experts for various aspects. Verification tools are important in the design. Caltech Intermediate Form (CIF) code is a low-level graphics language employed by a VLSI designer for specifying the geometry of integrated circuits. Usually we use CIF code just for communication with chip geometry in a reliable machine-readable form for mask-making. When a reader attributes CIF code, special care should be given to gather knowledge regarding dimensions and positions.
